About Us

Welcome to Little Woolly Vision. Stop-Motion animated nursery rhymes for children, babies and their grown-ups. We are a British stop-motion animation company specialising in animated wool, fabric and felt to create woolly tactile puppet animation.

Our videos are made for toddlers, babies and preschoolers but can be enjoyed by the whole family. From counting songs to actions songs and animal sounds, all the classic traditional songs are here. Gentle acoustic music sung with British accents and handmade with felt.

Everything we do is gentle and soft, and puts young children first. Our animations are popular with neurodivergent children and with families looking for an alternative to the overstimulating CGI nursery rhymes that are so common. We also include characters signing in Makaton, commonly used for baby signing or language.

We are a small award-winning animation company in Woolwich, London, England run by Ed Hartwell and writer and designer Sarah Harrison. Our films are all animated by hand and every puppet and set you see is stitched for us by a bunch of extremely talented artists including Caroline Bletsis, Leeanne Bell and Kathryn Ross. And no silly computer-generated music for us, our nursery rhymes are performed by musicians Steve Pretty and Gemma Storr. All the songs are inspired by baby sing-alongs and early years learning, they are tested by kids and have been carefully selected to include the best.

We hope you enjoy what we do, it’s handmade with love X
